PCC team

Pastoral team.

At St Mary Magdalene we have a team of four experienced Pastoral assistants.
We all have times when we are experiencing sadness because of loss, or a crisis, or a particular need, and just want some extra pastoral support.

Sue and Jamie Wood, Margaret King, and Rosalie Williams are very happy to hear from you if you have any pastoral needs.

Rosalie Williams is a life long worshipper and was married at St Mary Magdalene church. She has been a pastoral assistant for 25 years and is our Baptism co-ordinator.

Jamie Wood has lived in Newdigate for 53 years. He has been worshipping at St Mary Magdalene since 2009, with his wife Sue, also on the pastoral team.~
He trained as a Pastoral Assistant and was licensed at Guildford Cathedral in 2012. His main focus is the Men’s group, which meets in the pub or at Jamie’s house.

Sue co ordinates the prayer and study  group that meets at their home on alternate Mondays.

Margaret King was born and brought up in Harris and married Michael , They moved to Beare Green 40 years ago. After the sad passing of Michael, and her retirement, Margaret found that  the church family gave her much comfort and support and she became more regular and committed. She is  a qualified brownie and rainbow leader and runs the units in Beare Green and she also helps at a charity for children terrified of dogs.
